Eva's Sox by LynnH
If you are like me, and you love color - but not charts which require checking every few stitches - this pattern is for you. The stitch patterns repeat every 4 stitches, so you can work without consulting the chart constantly. Notice the special four-stitch "seam" up the back, which disguises the color-change "jog" in an elegant but simple-to-knit way. It is a top down, stranded fairisle-type sock using four fingering-weight colors of yarn. It is comfortable to wear, with a roomy cuff and snug foot. The example given is women's small/medium, but follow the simple "knit to fit" instructions to fit any size foot. The pattern is written in a conversational style, with text as well as chart instructions for the colorwork. This is a perfect pattern to introduce some color and joy into your life! |
