Pair #133 - September 22, 2006 Silky Tweed in Turquoise, reeeallly luxurious. This yarn is a little bit like whipped cream. I don't know how well they will wear, but then again, luxury items rarely are as durable as plain-jane items. I'm all for luxury sometimes! Let's face it, if the yarn is turquoise and it contains any animal fiber, I will try it for socks. I used my First-Time Toe-Up socks pattern for these, with a K2P2 "faux" cable, I'm not sure any more how many rows I knit between cable crossings. Yarn - Elsebeth Lavold Silky Tweed in Turquoise; 40% silk, 30% cotton, 20% merino wool and 10% rayon. |
